About
Hi, I'm Leslie!
I'm a Center for Babywearing Studies certified babywearing consultant and educator, a certified lactation counselor, and the owner of LC Babywearing. You may have seen me out and about in the Madison, WI area volunteering with Madison Babywearing, teaching breastfeeding, cloth diapering, and babywearing for Meriter hospital, performing with local theater companies, or playing your favorite song at the Ivory Room Piano Bar on the weekends!
My passion for babywearing began in 2011 when my oldest, Eloise, was born and had very strong opinions about being put down (she is now in high school and is fiercely independent). 6 years and two babies later (Sebastian and Imogen) I became a Volunteer Babywearing Educator with my local Babywearing International chapter. As Imogen needed to be worn less I realized that my enthusiasm for teaching babywearing and empowering caregivers was only growing stronger which led me to the CBWS Foundations training in 2022.
Most carriers are only sold online today — you can't touch them, try them on, or get honest guidance. Many new parents turn to influencers who may have experience with only a handful of trending brands and little understanding of why babywearing matters, its mechanics, or how needs change at each developmental stage. Some brands prioritize selling over educating.
I don't want you buying five expensive carriers just to find the right one. I want you confident and comfortable from day one — with a guide who stays current on the latest evidence and actually knows babywearing. I'd be honored to be that person, in-person or virtually. Check out my services!

Prenatal Bundle
Choosing baby gear can be overwhelming! This bundle includes 2, 1 hour in-person consultations. One before baby arrives to give you all of the information you'll need to choose a carrier (or two) and confidently wear your newborn. The second can be used anytime during baby's first year.
